WHO IS NICHOLAS O’DONNELL? I'm a music photographer based in London. I photograph musicians on and off stage.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO CREATE? I think my love for music inspires me to create. I love telling stories through my imagery; every artist has a different story.
WHERE DO YOU WANT YOUR WORK TO TAKE YOU IN THE FUTURE? I want to leave a legacy behind, I want my work to live on after I die - you look at the work of people like Mick Rock and Jim Marshall, they've both passed away but you can still look at an image of their's and know they took it.
WHEN DID IT ALL START? It started with a band called The Calvinists from my hometown in Ireland. I then just started reaching out to artists and spent pretty much all of my first year photographing artists in a tiny 80-cap venue.
WHY DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO? I do what I do because it's the only thing I know I’m good at; I've never really been good at anything else.
